This Democracy Will Be Ours Again

On Wednesday, September 9, Larry Lessig traveled to Claremont, New Hampshire, where he officially announced his bid for the White House at approximately noon ET.

Claremont is remembered for a historic 1995 conversation about money in politics. During the presidential campaign season, President Bill Clinton and Speaker Newt Gingrich held a town meeting where they then agreed to form a bipartisan commission to tackle lobbying and campaign reform. They shook hands, but their pledge was never realized.

Larry Lessig’s campaign to fix democracy first will bring political corruption into the sharpest focus in presidential election history.
