On Wednesday, September 9, Larry Lessig traveled to Claremont, New Hampshire, where he officially announced his bid for the White House at approximately noon ET.

Claremont is remembered for a historic 1995 conversation about money in politics. During the presidential campaign season, President Bill Clinton and Speaker Newt Gingrich held a town meeting where they then agreed to form a bipartisan commission to tackle lobbying and campaign reform. They shook hands, but their pledge was never realized.
